Carmelo Anthony, who should he sign with?

So, unless you've been living under a rock for the past 3 months you may have heard Carmelo Anthony wants out of Denver. Big surprise. Now don't get me wrong Denver itself is a great city. However, when relating Denver Colorado to any athletic sport, league, or team, it appears that there is much to be desired. Sure Anthony is one of the most talented players in the NBA (there aren't many sports fans who would debate that), but he is also one of the most underachieving players in the NBA. That all being said, Denver has done its very best to have a talented, competitive team built around Melo for many years, and a hall of fame coach to boot in George Karl. So why leave the Nuggets?

Yes, the lights are brighter and the market is bigger, but aside from that. What would change in New York? What about New Jersey? Can Anthony himself make either team a legit contender? Its certainly debatable. The Knicks are an up and coming team with loads of young talent, a solid coach in D'Antoni, and they seem well on their way to becoming a legit contender in the Eastern Conference. On the other hand you have the New Jersey Nets and new majority owner Alexander Prokorov. Who could  very well be the next Mark Cuban. This guy actually cut off trade talks with Denver in the middle of negotiations just to send a message to Anthony that Prokorov was in the drivers seat. A bit of gamesmanship from the rookie owner. Prokorov and the Nets have now offered up former all-star Devin Harris, Derrick Favors their top rookie prospect, among others. As well as 4 number one draft picks. That's right people. FOUR. The issue for me here is that both teams seem to be trading away most of their young talent for one superstar who honestly hasn't done much in his career outside of the regular season, and we all know that the post season is where legends are made. Right? So I ask you, will leaving Denver make Carmelo Anthony and his new team legendary? If so, which team best suits Melo? Only time will tell.
