Kenny Dobbs, Best Dunker Ever?

I am new to blogging. However, I feel I need to use this venue to bring some attention to an athlete I have been following for quite some time now. His name is Kenny Dobbs, and Im a fan to say the least. I would love to see him in a dunk contest against the likes of Lebron James, Blake Griffin, Dwight Howard, the usual suspects. I believe Kenny to be the best dunker in the world today. Please view the video below and I'm sure you'll agree. Lets bring some much needed attention to this incredible athlete... Oh by the way, he is only 6'2"!

Ridiculous Dunk

Ok, so today Ive been inspired by All Star weekend to provide some of the sickest dunks thus far this NBA season including Blake Griffins dunk of the year and Derrick Rose. I would also like to hear your comments below on who is currently the best dunker in the NBA. There is nothing better than a crazy ridiculous dunk to brighten your day. Buckle up and hold on!
Much thanks to user kobe233332 for video.

Blake Griffin the All Star

Hello again all. Today lets talk about the most heralded rookie since Lebron James. This man is literally a human highlight reel with over 100 dunks SO FAR this season. Number two only to Dwight Howard. He averages a double double and has just reached the surface of what he is truly capable of. His name is Blake Griffin.

Sure, he is young, big, fast, and strong. Not to mention he can jump out of the building. He has a new Subway commercial, and apparently a flare for the dramatic (see the video link from All Star weekend below). This is certainly one talented and very marketable man. It seems he has the world at his fingertips, and playing in Los Angeles doesn't hurt either. Probably the second biggest sports market next to New York City. So where is the limit for this young superstar? Unfortunately he is a Los Angeles Clipper, and the general consensus is that Donald Sterling is one of the worst owners in the league. That being said, here is the perfect opportunity for Mr. Sterling to redeem himself and his franchise.

It seems only fair to point out a couple of observations here. It appears the perfect storm is now brewing in L.A. for the young Blake Griffin. With Kobe Bryant playing the back end of his career, and the fact that Phil Jackson will most definitely hang it up after this season, it seems the Lakers are about to finish up their dynasty run. Enter Blake Griffin and the young, talented Los Angeles Clippers. It seems the timing couldn't be better for the Clipper franchise. Lets just hope Mr. Sterling puts the proper pieces around Griffin and sets the young superhero up for success. The sports world has its eyes fixed on you Mr. Sterling. Don't mess this one up.

Carmelo Anthony, who should he sign with?

So, unless you've been living under a rock for the past 3 months you may have heard Carmelo Anthony wants out of Denver. Big surprise. Now don't get me wrong Denver itself is a great city. However, when relating Denver Colorado to any athletic sport, league, or team, it appears that there is much to be desired. Sure Anthony is one of the most talented players in the NBA (there aren't many sports fans who would debate that), but he is also one of the most underachieving players in the NBA. That all being said, Denver has done its very best to have a talented, competitive team built around Melo for many years, and a hall of fame coach to boot in George Karl. So why leave the Nuggets?

Yes, the lights are brighter and the market is bigger, but aside from that. What would change in New York? What about New Jersey? Can Anthony himself make either team a legit contender? Its certainly debatable. The Knicks are an up and coming team with loads of young talent, a solid coach in D'Antoni, and they seem well on their way to becoming a legit contender in the Eastern Conference. On the other hand you have the New Jersey Nets and new majority owner Alexander Prokorov. Who could  very well be the next Mark Cuban. This guy actually cut off trade talks with Denver in the middle of negotiations just to send a message to Anthony that Prokorov was in the drivers seat. A bit of gamesmanship from the rookie owner. Prokorov and the Nets have now offered up former all-star Devin Harris, Derrick Favors their top rookie prospect, among others. As well as 4 number one draft picks. That's right people. FOUR. The issue for me here is that both teams seem to be trading away most of their young talent for one superstar who honestly hasn't done much in his career outside of the regular season, and we all know that the post season is where legends are made. Right? So I ask you, will leaving Denver make Carmelo Anthony and his new team legendary? If so, which team best suits Melo? Only time will tell.
